歓迎セレモニー Welcome Ceremony
東京大学先端科学技術研究センター視察（身体情報学分野／稲見・門内研究室） Visit to the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, University of Tokyo東京都教育委員会は、学校内外で生きた国際交流の場を創出し、都立学校生の国際感覚を醸成するとともに、海外留学生が日本型学校教育や東京の多様な魅力を体験できる機会を提供するため、海外留学生を対象に「東京体験スクール」を実施しています。
今年度は、12月12日（月曜日）から12月16日（金曜日）まで、カナダ、オーストラリア連邦、ニュージーランド、アラブ首長国連邦（ＵＡＥ）の4か国の海外留学生47名が来日し、都立立川国際中等教育学校、都立南多摩中等教育学校、都立町田高等学校、都立三鷹中等教育学校の4校において、生徒と交流を行いました。
滞在期間を通じて、留学生と各校の生徒は積極的に英語でコミュニケーションを図り、お互いの理解を深めました。
The Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education holds the event“TOKYO EXPERIENCE SCHOOL” for students from abroad. The objective of this event is to create opportunities for real international exchanges inside and outside of public schools in Tokyo, and foster the international sensibilities of students, as well as provide opportunities for foreign students to experience Japanese-style school education and the diverse attractions of Tokyo.
From December 12th to December 16th in 2022 , 47 foreign students from four countries, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), visited Japan and interacted with students at four schools: Tachikawa Kokusai Secondary Education School, Minamitama Secondary Education School, Machida High School, and Mitaka Secondary Education School.
During their stay, foreign students and students from each school actively tried to communicate in English and deepened their mutual understandings.

Activities at Mitaka Secondary Education School
来校初日は、校内で歓迎セレモニーを開催し、在校生による日本紹介や吹奏楽の演奏等で留学生を迎えました。
On the first day of their visit, a welcome ceremony was held at the school. Students of Mitaka Secondary Education School welcomed the foreign students with an introduction to Japan with a brass band performance.
期間中、留学生は在校生と共に理科等の授業に参加したり、弓道部等の部活動にも参加したりしました。
During the visit, the foreign students participated in classes such as science, and also participated in extracurricular activities such as the Japanese Archery Club.
12月15日（木曜日）と16日（金曜日）には、留学生と在校生が共に東京大学やＪＲ東日本等を訪問し、日本の先端技術を視察しました。
On December 15th (Thursday) and 16th (Friday), both the foreign students and students of Mitaka Secondary Education School visited the University of Tokyo, JR East, and other places to see advanced Japanese technology.

「UAEの中高生を学校に迎えて、彼らの寛容性に感銘を受けた。授業体験などの交流をほんの短時間で行っただけだったにも関わらず「帰りたくない。もっと一緒にいたい。」と言ってくれるほど自分たちを受け入れてくれたことが嬉しかった。そして現在でもSNSを通じて交流を続けられていることを誇りに思う。」

「Through our international exchange, I was impressed by their open-mindedness of students from the UAE. Although we spent a short time together, they said, “We don’t want to go back home. We want to stay longer here.” That makes me pleased. In addition, I’m proud of our continued chatting on social media.」
